Here at Livign Life we're always on the lookout for health and wellbeing websites. In the old days before the internet was quite as big as it is now, we had to look for our health news and information from a variety of souces like the broadsheets' health pages and the various health magazines.
But these days it's possible to find out loads just by picking up the tablet computer (or laptop or smartphone) and seeing what's out there.
One of my personal favourites healthwise is the Huffington Post UK's health section. There's always stuff on there to read, and it takes in a very wide scope of health stories - from the health advice and blog type content to the more medical news stories about treatment breakthroughs and so on. Well worth bookmarking if you haven't already.
Hive Health Media is another great site which is very modern in its design and has articles on every imaginable health and wellbeing topic - from fitness t0 nutrition as well as good in-depth medical stories too.
Mental health is something that, I find, is less represented across the media than perhaps it could be - so for mental health news and stories the Mind charity's site is a great starting point to find out about ways to stay mentally healthy and also to look for advice on common conditions such as anxiety, depression and stress.
Sadly, with The Times now firmly behind a paywall for well over two years - and the Telegraph now limiting the number of free article views for non-subscribers - the number of online broadsheet health information centres is slightly decreased. But thanks to the New York Times' Well blog there's a wealth of great up to the minute health and wellness content from one of the world's best selling broadsheets.
